Analyzing Snapchat Discover

As most of you know, snapchat now has a feature that will let you view stories from a touch of the finger. Some of the stories come from CNN, People, Cosmo, ESPN, and Daily Mail.

Although the stories are limited to what they decided to feature on snapchat, most of them are low content. For example, CNN has a picture up on the lady who was bit by a tiger at the Omaha Zoo.  The text gives the 5 W's. Because CNN is looking for more readership, they just put up a small amount of content to track readers to their own page.

This may not be about the news itself, but how news gets around. Nowadays we are finding out news on social media like Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter. I find this as a good thing, most people my age or in my generation would more than likely not be reading the newspaper or watching the news, this brings information to more people. It is creating a more informed society.
